Installing and Registering iolite Targeting

To install iolite Targeting, just run the installer package, which can be downloaded from this link.

iolite Targeting cannot be run on a virtual machines, and a working internet connection is required to trial the software.

Note

iolite Targeting requires AV2 version 1.6 or later, and processing the data in iolite requires iolite v4.10.7 or later.

When you first run iolite Targeting, you will need to start a trial, or enter your licence details. The preferences window for Targeting will appear by default if no licence information has been entered.

Starting a Trial

In the Licence section of the preferences (shown in Fig. 1), you can click on the Start Trial button to start a new trial.

Note

Trials cannot be restarted or extended, so only start a trial if you have time to evaluate the software. Trials can only be started on computers that can connect to the Targeting website.

After a trial is started, you have 14 days of full use of the software. After the trial has expired, a licence must be activated to continue using the software.

If you need to check how many days remain of your trail, the days remaining is shown in the licence section of iolite Targeting’s preferences.

Activating your Licence

To activate your licence, there are two options depending on whether your computer is online and able to access https://targeting.iolite.xyz. If you are online, you can enter your licence information (Name, Email and Licence key) and click the ‘Activate Licence Online’ button. This will connect to iolite’s licence server, verify that your licence is valid, and download your licence expiry date.

Note

Please make sure that the email address matches that registered with the licence key. Any mismatch will result in an ‘invalid licence’ message. If you are unsure which email address is registered with the licence, please contact us at iolite@icpms.com.

If your computer is not online, you can activate your licence by following these steps:

  1. Create an ‘offline licence request’ (.OLR) file by entering your licence details (Name, Email and Licence Key) and clicking the ‘Create OLR’ file button. Save this file somewhere on your computer. You will need to copy this file to another computer that is online.

  2. Go to https://targeting.iolite.xyz/licensing/upload_cert.php, and upload the .OLR file you created before. The webpage will create an ‘iolite licence’ (.IOL) file that you can then download. Move this file to the computer running iolite Targeting.

  3. Click the ‘Load IOL file’ in iolite Targeting’s preferences (Fig. 1). The Email field must be filled out to process the .IOL file. iolite Targeting will read the .IOL file and update your license details.

Once this is complete, your copy of iolite Targeting is registered, and you can click Save to return to the Main Window.
